Re: getting an error message "access denied" in Encore 5.5 when I build a DVD. problem just started last week. any solutions are appreciated.

Since I have not mentioned it in this thread, the "worst case" is that you can use the image to burn with an other program. While a workaround, many of us prefer to burn with ImgBurn (or Toast on Mac) even if Encore would burn. In any event, it is an option to confirm that the image is correct and will work.

Information in the background of your screenshot indicates that this is a very straight forward project (dynamic link timeline with no menu, correct?). But experience has shown for some users that exporting the DVD/BD final files from Premiere Pro/Adobe Media encoder may avoid problems present when dynamic link is used.

 

Prior to that, you could try cleaning the cache and/or resetting preferences. Or starting the same dynamic link project in a new Encore project (with a new name).
