A professional USB audio interface with proper manufacturer supplied ASIO drivers won't go anywhere near any Windows MME drivers. But I am not sure if it may still use Windows USB device drivers to connect the interface. And, as you say, ASIO4All does still use the MME drivers for the audio but wraps them up to look like ASIO for software that can only see ASIO. It does also provide some extra user control over what happens to the audio on it's way from MME to ASIO.
