I get the point of the thread. My point is that I doubt Adobe is putting much energy into regression testing Dreamweaver's ColdFusion functionality, as they are gradually trying to remove ColdFusion ties entirely.
This is almost the same argument as those who complain vociferously when Homesite+ won't run on Windows 8 and demand someone help them make it work. It's a matter of upgrading one's toolkit - Dreamweaver is no longer the right tool for ColdFusion development. Dreamweaver was never supposed to be "The ColdFusion IDE"; it was just the only thing available from Adobe that had some direct ColdFusion development functionality (until CFBuilder was released). If someone wants a contemporary ColdFusion IDE, they should be using CFBuilder. Otherwise, there are plenty of other options for ColdFusion code editing (Sublime Text + extension, Brackets + extension, Eclipse + CFEclipse, IntelliJ + extension, Notepad++, etc.).
ColdFusion support in Dreamweaver is unlikely to get any better (it will likely only get worse or be completely removed) in future releases.
